Pyrogrip

Pyrogrip is designed as a ready-to-use, air-drying adhesive to bond layers of ceramic fiber blanket or affix blankets to walls or other materials. It may also be used as an adhesive for other insulating refractory products, such as calcium silicate or vacuum formed boards.

At ambient temperatures it dries at medium speed. Pyrogrip sets in about 10–40 minutes, depending on ambient conditions. Warm conditions will speed the process, but the adhesive should not be applied to hot surfaces, or in hot ambient conditions above 176ºF (80ºC). Hot conditions may cause the material to gel rapidly and adversely affect the adhesive properties.

Applications

  • Blanket adhesive
  • General refractory adhesive
  • Core gluing and assembly
  • Broken core repair

Availability

  • Pyrogrip is currently available only in Australia
