The model 610 Electromagnetic Pump (EMP^™) is the first in the 6 inch range of pumps. The pump is the heart of the installation and is recommended for dry hearth operations where improved productivity and metal recovery are required.

The EMP pump gives a high efficiency output with a substantial mass flow.

The 610 EMP comprises a cylindrical electromagnetic coil, lined with a silicon nitride tube. The coil uses the induced electromagnetic currents to propel the molten aluminium from the furnace to the chargewell, the direction and speed of flow being controlled at the operator station.
